The North Durban Lions club planted 6 trees at the Briardene Primary School recently, continuing the club’s contribution to Lions Clubs International’s 1 Million Trees Campaign. The trees were generously donated by Mr Crispin Hemson of the University of KwaZulu Natal.
The school also provided an opportunity for the pupils to be told a little bit about Lions, which Zone Chair Denise Bolland addressed the pupils and staff about.
The school is very proactive and is constantly seeking to improve the educational experience of its pupils, despite most pupils being from disadvantaged backgrounds with few financial resources.
The North Durban Lions are proud to have been able to serve both the environment and the school and its pupils.
