Heritage Day Braai at TAFTA On Ridge

The club treated the 100 residents of TAFTA On Ridge retirement home to braaied beef or chicken burgers on Heritage Day. This rare treat was extremely well received – many of the residents thanked the club for the best meal they’ve had all year. The club has provided a braai for three years in a row now and it is always regarded as a definite highlight for the residents.

Visit to Sinakekele

The club planted 2 trees at the Sinakekele home for abandoned babies and then enjoyed good fellowship with a braai at the home. Lion Denise and Mickey Bolland have recently moved out to Sinakekele and made the rest of the club very much at home.

Donation of Nedbank Blankets to Salvation Army

Nedbank provided the club with many high quality double blankets and asked it to donate them to needy recipients on their behalf. The club donated 44 of the blankets to the Salvation Army’s Thembela home in Durban where they were gratefully received by the residents.
