Lions Information Evening

If you would like to know more about how the North Durban Lions Club is serving its community, and possibly how you can become involved (either by becoming a member or generally helping out), please consider coming to our Information Evening, on March 30.

We will have a fascinating and very motivational speaker who is a long-standing and greatly distinguished Lion. Snacks will be served and a cash bar will be available.

The many projects the club is involved in will be showcased and members of the club will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

First Aid Training

The Cowies Hill Lions club recently conducted Level I first aid training, at a minimal cost. Lion Trevor Hobbs and his son Grant attended from the North Durban club – well done to them both for passing the training.

Eco-circle Vegetable Gardens

Eco-circles are a fantastic way of using a small area and very little water to grow a variety of vegetables. The Lions clubs of Multiple District 410 have been encouraged to plant eco-circles, at their clubhouses, local schools, orphanages and the like.  Several clubs in District 410C have made plans to start eco-circles. Lions Bev and Pat Riley of the North Durban club have planted 6 circles at their home – one tended by each member of the family. The circles have yielded fantastic vegetables and shown the concept to be an excellent one.
